In the first period of the war, we constantly received information about the increasing number of people from the east of the country who fled from the unknown and settled in the Lviv region. The situation was very intense. Under the care of the Archdiocese of Lviv, up to 9,000 displaced people found shelter in 80 different shelters. Being in constant contact, we tried to provide the key support for “Caritas Spes” at that time, in the form of food products and power generators. We also purchased forklifts and fuel tanks, which were crucial for the logistics processes.
In the first days of the war, we were strongly supported by donations from the Industrial Development Agency Foundation. Thanks to them, in the first months of the war, we were able to transport a full truck of canned meat, which at the time was an important, nutritious supplement to meals.
Also in December, thanks to the support of ARP, just before Christmas, we were able to provide varied products in the form of basic groceries, supplementing them with sweets during this Christmas time, giving some happiness and alternatives to children in the Odessa region.
