In March, a year has passed since the first humanitarian aid transport organized by the Kaganek Foundation to Ukraine. As part of the “Solidary” programme, 40 transports of material humanitarian aid have been carried out since the beginning of the activities. More than 1,200 pallets of aid in the form of food products, power generators, converters, ready food boxes and medical equipment were delivered in this way, which went directly to Lviv, from where they were distributed to the most distant points on the map of Ukraine.
The Foundation’s funds and funds obtained from our business partners and other foundations, which, like us, are no strangers to the fate of those suffering in this conflict, amounted to over EUR 546.000. In addition, we provide transport services, e.g. from Caritas Polska or other entities and Foundations. Thanks to additional cooperation, within a year, humanitarian aid worth over EUR 873.500 was delivered to Ukraine.
Thanks to the organization of an efficient logistic bridge as well as great courage and willingness to help, we went a step further and since October we have been participating in the transports of products directly to the most needy people who remained close to the front line. The aid we provide goes first to the warehouse in Lviv, and then it is divided into smaller trucks that transport the products to Ukrainian cities and towns. So far, we have reached to the inhabitants of the liberated areas, such as: Kupiansk and Bałaklija – Kharkiv Oblast or Kherson, but also to Kharkov, Kryvyi Rih, Odessa or Pavlohrad. Thanks to the full commitment of our employees, we have already participated in 11 such convoys. Through constant contact and cooperation, we learn about the current situation regarding the needs of life and directly support the locals.
