On the night of September 18-19, there was a Russian attack on the Lviv area, as a result of which the Caritas Spes warehouse was destroyed. This is where humanitarian aid arrived, where it was then stored, sorted and distributed to other areas of Ukraine.

As a result of the fire, 300 tons of humanitarian aid burned. The warehouse included supplies for the winter: generators, food, chemicals. The last transport that arrived at the warehouse was over 600 food parcels for families.

Currently, apart from the smell of burning, there is also the smell of rotting food remains.

The warehouse will be rebuilt in the future. However, it is now necessary to accumulate supplies to provide ongoing support to those in need and to re-secure the supplies in case of a severe winter and possible shortages in energy supplies.
